KYIV (QHA) -

On the night of September 17, a group of the unknown fired firecrackers and salutes at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, according to ‘Strana’ with reference to  eyewitnesses.

National Guard officers guard cordoning the embassy, ​​told the reporters that about 20 people came to the building. They installed the fireworks and performed a "volley". Then  they quickly retreated from the scene. At 1:45 the attackers were already gone.

The building has no visible damage. Only the fireworks constructions remained.



Notably, Sunday, September 18, pole stations for the elections to the Russian State Duma, are to be opened in the building of the Russian embassy. Despite the restriction imposed by the Ukrainian authorities, the Russian diplomats state that they still intend to open the pole stations.
