Pskov Airborne Tactical Group took part in large-scale drills held in Pskov region, reported the RIA Novosti citing the Defense Ministry press service.

According to the report, the paratroopers had been taken from the spare area and transferred to the village of Smuravevo, Gdov district. This was the first landing of the tactical parachute and airborne units in this area.

Russia plans to conduct large-scale ten day long tactical drills until Oct. 24. The military maneuvers involve more than 2000 troops, 300 units of armored vehicles, automotive and special equipment, belonging to the Pskov Airborne unit.
