Rinat Akhmetov’s SCM office broken into over weekend

Surveillance cameras were smashed and doors forced open at Rinat Akhmetov’s SCM office in Kiev.

“On Sunday, a group of unidentified individuals numbering several dozens committed an act of vandalism. They forced open the doors and smashed surveillance cameras without making any demands”, says a statement posted in the company’s Facebook account.

“SCM company has always stayed out of politics. We are the largest tax payer and investor in the country’s economy,” the statement says.

It was reported earlier that operation of Metinvest company owned by Rinat Akhmetov was brought to a virtual standstill.
