Malefactors gathered information on the movements, composition, armament of the Ukrainian units in the ATO zone, according to the Security Service of Ukraine SBU press service. The data collected were used by terrorists to attack on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and for various acts of sabotage.
The leader of the terrorist spy network was an assistant cto the Chief of the so-called "DPR 5-th separate motorized rifle brigade", a 38-year-old citizen of Russia Yaroslav Yefendiyev.
SBU officers detained three accomplices of the terrorists at the place of residence. During the search, computer equipment, telephones and cards were found, used to provide the militants with information.
A criminal case under Part. 1, Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was initiated.
January 3 Security Service of Ukraine detained a female plotter engaged in forging the documents for "DPR" terrorists.
