Refat Mazalov arrested on August 12 has already been released according to Zaire Smedlyaev, the head of Kurultai Central Election Commission of the Crimean Tatar people. Mazalov is not responding telephone calls yet, so the details of his detention will appear later.
Friday, August 12, a house of a Crimean Refat Mazalov Tatar was searched. Reportedly, Refat Mazalov has been taken to the police station in the city of Bakhchisaray without explanation.
Later, a video appeared on the web, in which the Mazalov’s son told about the details of the search and arrest of his father.
The Crimean Prosecutor's office started a pre-trial investigation of the case and claimed that the detention of the Crimean Tatar is another violation of human rights in Crimea.
