Commenting on Zubkov’s closing down his zoos in protest, Natalya Poklonskaya said that the owner of the Skazka zoo and Taigan lion sanctuary is emotionally unstable.
“He sent me a letter urging me to resign of my own volition. Putting it mildly, that is something only an emotionally unstable person can do. It’s not for him to decide,” said Poklonskaya.
According to Poklonskaya, Zubkov’s decision to shut down his zoo only means that he does not have enough money to ensure proper conditions for his animals. Because Oleg Zubkov was not pressured into making the decision.
“He is the one in charge, so let him make the decision. If he is unable to ensure proper conditions, then the most viable option for him would be to shut them down. So that’s how he wants it to be. Is he doing it in protest? I’m OK with that. Let him sit in the cages instead”, concluded the so-called General Prosecutor of Crimea.
