In Colombia a passenger plane crushed flying to the international airport in Medellin, AP reports.

According to the latest data, the Brazilian football team "Shapekonse" was on board the aircraft. Overall, the plane was carrying 72 passengers and 9 crew members.

The crash occurred in the Antioquia province in the region of La Unión. Official information about the number of victims has not yet been reported, but it is known of the five survivors. Rescue services and ambulance teams continue to operate at the scene.

Causes of the crash are not yet established, but some suggestions say it could be due to the bad weather with heavy rains.
