Employees of the Ukraine’s Security Service detained the Chairman and the Deputy of one of rural Councils in Novoaydarsky district, Luhansk region. In May, 2014 the woman took an active part in the organization of the separatist "referendum" on splitting from Ukraine.
During the illegal voting, the Deputy, appointed the "Deputy Chairman of the Commission," prepared protocols and ballot boxes. Jointly with three accomplices, she having taken the ballots and voter lists, doorbelled the residents of the villages of Kapitanovo and Muratovo.
The Security Service collected the evidence on the Deputy’s participation in the organization and conduct of anti-Ukrainian voting in Novoaydarsky district. The citizen has been told she is suspected of committing a crime under Part 2 Section 110 of the Criminal Code, infringement on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine committed by a representative of the authorities. The criminal may face from 5 to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
A pre-trial investigation is continuing, according to the SBU website.
