September 24, four employees of the Mariupol Migration Service were detained for issuing fake documents, according to the press-service of the National Police Head Office in the Donetsk region.
The investigation found that officials falsified passports for residents of the occupied territories of the "DPR" and "LPR" to travel around the country. Anyone could get such passport just for 500 UAH.
Reportedly, the Police found 40 fake passports, clichés, forms, photo paper and photos of different people at the frauds’ place of residence, as well as equipment to produce fake documents. Moreover, 70 thousand UAH were found in the apartment.
Volnovakha Police Department launched an investigation into the crimes committed. The criminals could face up to five years in prison.
