Mali: 170 people taken hostage in hotel

Unknown persons opened fire in a Radisson Blu hotel.

At least 170 people are taken hostage by two men in a Radisson Blu hotel in Mali’s capital, Bamako. About 140 guests and 30 employees were taken hostage, Interfax reports. The hotel has 190 rooms.

 It was reported earlier that unidentified individuals opened fire on Radisson Blu hotel.

“It's all happening on the seventh floor, jihadists are firing in the corridor,” the media report, citing a source in security services.

According to some reports, some people have already been killed. Among them are staff and guests.
