A 31-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of killing Aliyeva Mumine, a Crimean Tatar, according to the website of the ‘Crimea’s Investigation Department.’
“The suspect of committing the crime, a 31-year-old local resident, was promptly identified due to the coordinated work of investigators and operational police officers,” reads the report.
As noted, the Kirov interregional investigation department of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Crimea initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code (murder).
“At present, the investigation to establish all the circumstances of the crime is underway. The criminal investigation is ongoing,” reads the statement.
It was reported earlier that unknown persons kidnapped and killed a 36-year-old Crimean Tatar woman in Kirov district.
After being kidnapped by unknown persons at 6 p.m. on May 29, the woman was reported to have been brutally raped and killed.
Her funeral will be held today, May 30, in her home village of Izyumovka about 3 p.m
