TRIPOLI (QHA) -

The Libyan military opened fire on the tanker Goeast, which belongs to the shipping company "Yuvas-Trans" from the occupied Crimea.

Reportedly, the ship's crew was suspected of illegally loading fuel in an oil terminal near Tripoli. The military presented a demand - to show the cargo, but the tanker sailors refused. In response, the military began shelling the ship, as a result of which the vessel began to sink.

At present, the fate of the crew and the citizenship of the seamen are unknown.

Previously, in early September, the Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and internally displaced persons recorded an illegal entry of a ship from Libya under the flag of Sierra Leone into the port of Russian-annexed Crimea.
