September 8, 2015. A consignment of hard cheese, being delivered from Zhytomyr city to Crimea, was detained at the Perekop checkpoint.

As reported by the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia) around 15,5 tons of cheese failed to meet the current standards with regard to microbiological, physicochemical, chemicotoxicological and radiological characteristics.

After inspection the cheese was returned to the manufacturer.
