Kyiv:Journalist for Ukrainska Pravda killed in car explosion

Pavel Sheremet was driving the car, which exploded in the central part of Kyiv. The car belonged to Olena Prytula, the owner of the Ukrainian edition.

A well-known journalist Pavel Sheremet was killed in a car explosion in central Kyiv, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

According to the publication, the car exploded Wednesday on the corner of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Ivan Franco Streets just in front of McDonald’s restaurant.

“The car belonged to Olena Prytula, the owner of Ukrainska Pravda, but she was not inside the vehicle, says the report.

The explosion occurred at 7.45 am. Police rushed at the scene.

Pavel Sheremet lived in Kyiv for last five years and worked for Ukrainska Pravda. He also hosted a morning show on Radio Vesti.
