Around 3.30 a.m., the Kharkiv Airport Authority received an anonymous phone call warning of a bomb planted on board of aircraft departing to Istanbul. A police bomb squad, criminologists and almost the entire leadership of the regional police department arrived on the scene.
First, all 128 passengers were evacuated. Then, the police began searching the aircraft and luggage compartment as well as questioning witnesses and passengers.
As at 6.30 a.m., the search was underway.
