Heavy storm in Crimea has made Kerch Strait ferry line suspend its work.
The movement of all ferries has been suspended until the weather improves. The warning was put out on Wednesday,as the wind gusted to 54 mph and the waves were 3-4 metres high, United Transport Directorate announced.
By Thursday morning the queue at the port of Crimea reached 2 thousand vehicles. Currently it is about 3 thousand cars. In the Kavkaz port in Krasnodar Krai the queue to Crimea is over 1,000 cars.
The Kerch Strait ferry line, established in 1953, is the ferry connection across the Strait of Kerch to connect the Crimean Peninsula and Krasnodar Krai, Russia.
