(QHA) - The Israeli air force conducted a strike in Lebanon between Beirut and Sidon, responding to rockets that had been launched at northern Israel on Thursday, the Israeli Defense Forces said Friday, reports CNN. The IDF described the launch of rockets targeting Israel as a "terrorist aggression originating from Lebanese territory." Later, at least one explosion took place near al Takwa mosque in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon, the country's Internal Security Forces said Friday. A photo on Twitter showed a thick cloud of smoke hovering over the area. Lebanese media reported that a second explosion was heard in the city.
