In Kharkiv, Ukraine's Security Service in cooperation with the border guards detained a 39-year-old citizen of one of the countries in Central Asia. The man was wanted by Interpol for his involvement in an international terrorist organization ISIL.
In November 2013, the man went to work in the Russian Federation. Following that he moved to Syria, where he sided with ISIL, reported the SBU press center.
Having undergone military training in the terrorist training camps, the foreigner has become an active member of an extremist terrorist group and participated in the fighting. Recently, a man arrived in Ukraine, hoping to escape from justice.
The terrorist was detained under Section 208 of the Ukraine’s Criminal Code. So far, the SBU is tackling his extradition to the country that initiated a search.
