IS claims responsibility for attack in Nice

A 31-year-old Nice resident of Tunisian origin who committed the attack was a soldiers of the Islamic State terrorist group.

IS terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack in Nice, AP reports.

"A man who carried out a terror attack in Nice was a soldiers of the Islamic State group," the report says.

Just a reminder: In the evening on July 14 at about 11pm, a terrorist attack in the French city of Nice claimed the lives of 84 people. Reportedly, 18 people are in critical condition and about 150 wounded. 

A white truck barreled into a crowd of people on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, where the tourists and residents celebrated Bastille Day. Then a terrorist got out of the truck and started shooting into the crowd.

The truck driver turned out to be a Nice resident of Tunisian origin. He was shot dead by police at the scene.

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, one Ukrainian was killed and one more injured in the terror attack.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in France.
