Ukrainian Border Service detained a Russian citizen wanted by Interpol for participation in a terrorist group "Islamic State", according to the Border press service.

Border guards detained a Russian citizen at the Borispol International airport when he was buying Istanbul - Kiev ticket. Following the procedural measures, the detainee was handed over to the police.

Reportedly, the Border Service has also detained a citizen of Hungary who is wanted by Interpol for committing several crimes. The offender was seized at the Tisa checkpoint. He broke the Ukrainian rules of stay, exceeding the allowable length. Currently, the offender is being detained for extradition to Hungary.
