A Crimean court has ruled that an internationally wanted Moldovan national be taken into custody for 40 days and extradited afterwards as a fugitive from justice.

“The foreign national is wanted by Moldovan law enforcement agencies for committing crimes prescribed by ‘B’ and ‘D’ subsections of Section 2 of Article 165 of the Moldovan Criminal Code (fraudulently recruiting, trafficking, holding or exploiting two or more individuals for monetary gain),” says the press service of Crimean Prosecutor General’s Office.

The Moldovan national was held up in the town of Armyansk in October.

The Prosecutor General requested the court that the Moldovan national be taken into custody and later be handed over to Moldovan law enforcement agencies.
