The villages of Peski, Opytnoye, Avdeyevka and Verhnetoretskoye (located slighty northward) came under rifle, grenade launcher and large caliber machine gun fire. The miltants fired hand-held grenade launchers on positions held by Ukrainian troops in the village of Mar’yinka. A sniper was spotted shooting at Ukrainian troops near the villages of Krasnogorovka and Staromikhailovka, reports the ATO press service as of 6 a.m. on January 12, 2016.
The separatists used small arms, grenade launchers and large caliber machine guns to get Ukrainian troops to return fire near the villages of Novogorodskoye, Zaytsevo and Mayorsk located north to the town of Gorlovka.
The militants fired large caliber machine guns near the village of Svetlodarsk and shot sniper rifles in the vicinity of Luganskoye village.
