A hand grenade exploded outside a building in Koblevskaya Street in downtown Odessa, reports a press service of the Interior Ministry in the Odessa region.
Investigators, bomb disposal technicians and policemen with sniffer dogs are currently inspecting the blast site for evidence. It is reported that there have been no people injured in the explosion.
“At 1 a.m. a hand grenade was reported to have exploded outside a building in 8 Koblevskaya Street. A Honda car parked nearby was damaged by the grenade fragments,” says a statement issued by the police.
The grenade’s safety pin is reported to have been recovered on the blast site.
An investigation into the blast is currently ongoing.
