An unidentified man was killed in a grenade blast which occurred in Kiev’s Prospect Svobody Street of the Podolsky district on Saturday night.
According to Kiev Police Department, police officers, who arrived at the accident site, saw body fragments of an unidentified man scattered around the house’s entrance and its ground floor. Demolition experts also recovered something looking like a grenade’s safety pin and multiple metallic fragments. All of the evidence was sent to the forensic lab for testing. There was no ID uncovered on the dead man’s body. Currently police are trying to establish identity of the deceased.
A criminal investigation into the blast has been launched. Under Section 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the accident has been qualified as ‘a premeditated murder committed in a manner that poses danger to multiple persons’. Police are now looking for possible suspects.
