France 2 clarifies details of explosion on board of A321

France 2 TV channel, citing its own sources, reported today that an explosion, not related to engine failure, occurred on the board of the Russian airliner crashed in the Sinai Peninsula.

Experts involved in the investigation came to such conclusion, having analyzed the black box recordings.

According to the source, the noise was not caused by the breakdown of aircraft engine. 

Citing the AFP, the France 2 TV channel reports that the blast was sudden and powerful, as black box transcript reveals. 

It was reported earlier that Russian Airbus A321 run by Kogalymavia airline crashed in the north of the Sinai Peninsula killing all 224 people on board on October 31, 2015.
