Dniester Marshes natural reserves are on fire. The raging fire is also flaming up within the Lower Dniester National Nature Park,
Ivan Rusev, ecologist and Doctor of Biological Sciences, posted on his Facebook page.

“We still have no information as for the precise fire area at Dniester Marshes natural reserves and the Lower Dniester National Nature Park. Thus, we need a thorough fire prevention, precise monitoring of the National park by entire security service, especially when the wind intensifies,” said Ivan Rusev.

According to him, a new fire broke out about 3.00pm on November 16, 2015 in the delta of Dniester river. It is not the first fire in this area. A total of 6,000 hectares of the nature reserve have already been destroyed by fire this year.
