On the border of Georgia with Russia, an explosion occurred, as a result of which a member of the border police of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs died.

Two more border guards were injured in the incident. Both victims are in the intensive care unit of the burn center of the Tbilisi University clinic. One of the border guards received burns of 27-30% of the body, and the second - 45-50%.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident is the ignition of the gas cylinder.

At present, a criminal case has been initiated under the article "Infliction of minor or serious harm to health through negligence".

Earlier, on September 21 in Uman, near the place of mass stay of pilgrims-Hasidim, who marked the Jewish New Year, an explosion occurred, as a result of which a teenager was injured.
