In the ski competitions held in the Japanese city of Sapporo, a sudden explosion happened. People were shocked by the incident, but fortunately there were no injuries.

An explosion sounded immediately after the event participants and spectators had been greeted by Princess Akiko, the niece of the current Japan's Emperor Akihito and the eldest daughter of Prince Tomohito died in 2012, Ekho Moskvy reports.

According to witnesses, the police immediately arrested a man holding a steel tube. Now he is being interrogated.
