The explosion was detonated outside the South terminal of Central Railway Station in Kyiv about midnight. As a result, a homeless woman was injured. According to press service of the Main Department of the MIA of Ukraine in Kyiv region, the woman said that a man passing nearby threw an object in her direction, which exploded. The injured woman was taken to hospital.

Dmitry Sinenko, an eyewitness, has posted the incident scene photos on social media.

The man suspected in setting off the explosion was detained, says a statement published on the website of the Main Department of the MIA of Ukraine in Kyiv region. The information was also confirmed by Oksana Blischik, the speaker of Main Department of the MIA of Ukraine. Now the suspect is being questioned by law enforcement officers, and a criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 4, Art. 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).
