Edem Asanov, 25, who was found hanged in Crimea Oct 6 after being missing for days, must have committed suicide. 

Relatives of Asanov announced this during a press conference in Simferopol, Oct 8.

“This is not related to political or criminal motives. We have kicks against neither police nor medicolegal investigation. This is family heartbreak - cousin of Edem Asanov, Riduan Dzhaparov said. I cannot imagine how he managed to commit it, still he did it himself. There was a suicide note.”

Head of local Mejlis office Eskender Bilyalov also holds an opinion, that Asanov has committed suicide.

“The main argument is that he has left the suicide note”- Bilyalov said, refusing to give information about what exactly was written in note.

QHA correspondent managed to reach Edem Asanov’s sister Feride, still she also failed to answer, whether Edem had any motives took his own life.

25-year-old Crimean Tatar, Edem Asanov, has been found hanged in an abandoned sanatorium in Yevpatoria, a week after he disappeared on Sept 29. He was buried Oct 7 in his native town of Saky.

Two young Crimean Tatars, 19-year-old Islyam Dzhepparov and his 23-year-old cousin Dzhevdet Islyamov were abducted from Belogorsk, Crimea, Sept 27, their whereabouts remain unknown.

23-year-old Eskender Apselyamov has not been seen since Oct 3 when he left his flat in Simferopol and headed for work.
