The actors, who participated in the Crimean Tatar concert “Vatan Sesi” held in Kyiv on November 27, are being kept on the administrative border with Crimea.
Among the detainees are the participants of the band Hip-Hop Qirim (Seyran Khalilov, Eskender Chatalov and Osman Dzhemalyadinov), singer Reana Tarkova, and Ayse Absaitova, mother of an underage participant of the concert Adile Absaitova.
It’s worth mentioning that, besides the actors, the FSB officers have detained Alie Degermendzhi, the mother of the political prisoner in the "February 26 case” Mustafa Degermendzhi, on the administrative border with Crimea today.
According to preliminary information, actor Seyran 7.62 has been detained, too.
“According to preliminary information, actor Seyran 7.62 has been detained. He cannot be reached by phone and Alie Degermendzhi as well. According to the law, they cannot be held more than 3 hours,” the Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariev posted on his Facebook page.
He also commented on the detention of the Crimean Tatars actors in an interview with a QHA correspondent.
“There is no connection with these people as their phones are disconnected. Only juveniles have been allowed to pass, but all the adults are being kept at the border. We still have no information about the reason of their detention. However, we know that they cannot be held for more than three hours without a further decision of the court or any sanctions. They can be kept on the border only for three hours to specifying any details, and all depends on how the situation will develop further. I think they will soon be released. So, the other thing that they will be warned and interrogated. Hence, Russia continues to carry out reprisals against the Crimean Tatar people,” said Eskender Bariev.
It was reported earlier that Alie Degermendzhi, the mother of the political prisoner in the "February 26 case” Mustafa Degermendzhi, is being kept on administrative border with the mainland Ukraine by Russian border guards.
