At least 80 hectares of vineyards of one of the largest wineries of Crimea Massandra suffered from a mudflow, "Sobytiya" reported.
“The exact figures will be known after a more detailed survey. However, according to the operational information of the agro-service, the mudflow has damaged at least 80 hectares of vineyards. Large areas are covered with silt and mud, some beddings are completely destroyed - pegs and espaliers are swept away to riverbeds, vineyards are uprooted," Massandra reported.
Area with productive plantings of Chardonnay, Kokour, Magarach Tchaouch and Yellow Muscat varieties was affected the most.

Earlier, on August 18, heavy showers started in the Crimea. Debris flows occurred in the Sudak region.
