KYIV (QHA) -

Russian military clashed with the RF border guards in Crimea due to the lack of interaction, according to General Directorate of Intelligence Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The parts did not use small arms. The incident occurred on September 21, but the Intelligence made it public on Saturday, September 24.

The collision occurred between the foot-borne troops of the Russian Border Service and the military observation post, located on the right side of the Perekop walls.

“Tactical group of the battalion 247 Airborne Assault Regiment (Stavropol) 7 Airborne Division (Novorossiysk) Russian Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces took the RF state border guards for enemy saboteurs,” the department reports.

Press service of the Ukrainian General Directorate of Intelligence underscores  that the gradual transformation of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory into a Russian military base creates additional security risks at the administrative border with Kherson region of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
