The former coach of the football club "Dnipro" and "Metalist" Myron Markevich came under fire in near Marinka in Donetsk region, informed the speaker of the State Border Service Oleg Slobodyan on his Facebook page.

“Visiting Maryinka the Ukrainian coach actually came under fire of the Russian-terrorist forces. They all had to leave the area of the village, Slobodyan reported.

When asked about how he feels after such an incident, Markevich joked: "Oh well, that’s nothing ..."

“The border guards were delighted to talk with Myron. They say that it would be hard to find a more sincere patriot,” writes Oleg Slobodyan.

Honored coach of Ukraine gave the border guards of the Kramatorsk detachment a shirt of the Dynamo defender Eugene Khacheridi, which he was wearing in the recent match with Turkey, as well as the ball signed by the players of the national team.

October 19, the militants shelled Maryinka checkpoint from large-caliber machine guns from the village of Aleksandrovka. None of the Ukrainian military was injured they did not return fire.
