The customs control at Simferopol airport found 33 thousand 285 dollars in a bag of a citizen of Syria, who arrived on a flight from Moscow, informs department of the State Ministry of Income and Charges in Crimea.
According to the report, the currency was in the passenger’s travel bag.
“In this case, the amount of 19 thousand 790 US dollars exceeds the amount of 10 thousand Euro, which is allowed to enter and exit Ukraine with no written declaration to the customs authorities,” explained head of the Crimean Customs of the Ministry Denis Pudrik.
A report on violation of customs regulations was drawn up; the undeclared currency was removed as subject of offense.
