Chongar border crossing point -- a checkpoint between Ukraine and Crimea, is temporarily out of service.
The Permanent Mission of the President of Ukraine in Crimea report based on the information provided by the Azov-Black Sea Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service reads, UNIAN informs.
Chongar border crossing point is temporarily out of service due to the actions of the adjoining state. Kalanchak and Chaplinka border crossing points are operating normally," the statement reads.
It is also noted that the citizens of Ukraine may "freely cross the administrative border between Ukraine and Crimea at Kalanchak and Chaplinka border crossing points.
Ukraine has suspended all transport services to Crimea, citing a deteriorating security situation. It is unclear when transport services will be restored.
All passenger and cargo train services to the peninsula were halted on December 27.
A day earlier, authorities canceled bus services and stopped letting passenger cars pass through the Armyansk and Perekop checkpoints on the border with Crimea."
