Unidentified individuals damaged a Skoda Superb car in Simferopol by puncturing tires and scratching obscenities about Crimean Tatars. The reason the car got damaged is because there was a small Crimean Tatar flag inside.

“At 8.30 p.m. local time I was about to leave the neighborhood. I had a difficulty getting the car to move first. After travelling several meters I heard some noise. I stopped the car and saw I had a flat tire. I started changing the tire and suddenly I saw words scratched on the right door saying ‘Tatars are queers’”, said the car’s owner.

This is not the first time something like this has happened. On previous occasions, unidentified vandals damaged cars with Crimean Tatar symbols without police ever finding them.

According to reports of human rights organizations, the rights of Crimean Tatars living in Crimea have been systemically abused since 2014.

It was reported earlier that a meeting of the Coordination Committee of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars looking into violations of rights and freedoms of Crimean Tatars in Crimea was held in Kiev over the weekend.
