Bomb threat for Kyiv railway and KPI metro stations

However, no explosives have been found in the crowded places, according to the police.

Today, the police received a bombed threat for railway station and Polytechnic Institute metro station in Kyiv. Explosive-service specialists and investigative teams of the District Police Departments immediately rushed to the places. Around 900 people have been evacuated from the railway station, as well as six workers from the metro station.

However, after careful examination dangerous objects were not detected. The incident details have been properly registered and are due to be entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations on the grounds of crime under Art. 259 (knowingly false report of threat to the security of citizens, as well as destruction or damage to objects of property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a fine or up to 6 years' imprisonment.

"If someone wants to repeat such a 'jokes', he will be imposed a significant penalty and 8 years' imprisonment," press center of the National Police of Ukraine reports.
