An unidentified explosive device detonated in Krivoy Rog on October 12, killing a man who held it in his hands.
According to the Interior Ministry’s press service, somebody called 102 and reported a blast that occurred outside a building in Lisovoy Street. Police, who arrived at the site of the accident, recovered a dead man’s body and an F1 hand grenade lying next to it, which was presumably his. The man’s body sustained multiple wounds due to the blast. There were no other people injured in the blast.
A criminal probe under Section 1 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was launched into the accident.
