An African swine fever (ASF) has been disclosed in Russia’s annexed Crimea, reported the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision.

- January 27, 2016 an outbreak of ASF has been recorded in Crimea on the territory of KFH "Martin" (Razdolnensky region). January, 28 2016 the FGBU "ARRIAH" confirmed the ASF diagnosis, reads a statement.

Reportedly, violations of the veterinary legislation have been registered in Crimea that smoothed the way for the spread of the infectious disease and carried an ASF agent to the territory of Crimea.
