400 people got poisoned at Sevastopol beach

Sevastopol (QHA) - After leisure time at ‘Omega’ beach in Sevastopol, 386 people, including 80 children were taken to hospitals with symptoms of poisoning, informs head of Sevastopol city administration Vladimir Yatsuba, reports Segodnya newspaper. “Unfortunately, most of the hospitalized people were from ‘Omega’ beach, which is known for shallow waters and a big number of tourists. Sanitary services must be guided not only by numbers. They should look into concrete cases of poisoning to figure out what caused it,” said Yatsuba. Infectious diseases hospitals in Sevastopol are full. Despite this, the official said, according to the city sanitary services, water on ‘Omega’ beach complies with norms.
