The Ukrainian universities should attract students from the occupied territories and increase the number of state-funded places, PhD, associate professor of Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mykhailo Tugan-Baranowski, Larisa Samosenok told the third meeting of the Council of Rectors of universities, displaced from the ATO zone as cited by a QHA correspondent.

All applicants were proposed state-funded places in the occupied territories. Many entered these universities although the degree they will receive won’t be legitimate, said Samosenok.

According to her, "there will be demand for Ukrainian universities should the number of state-funded places be increased."
