The Ambassador of Ukraine Sergey Korsun and Head of the Turkey’s Council of Higher Education Yekta Sarach discussed the Ukraine- Turkey educational cooperation, according to the official Facebook page of the Ukrainian Embassy in Ankara.
In addition to education sphere, the parties also discussed cooperation in the fields of nuclear energy, aviation and space. The meeting resulted in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkey’s Council on Higher Education and the Ukraine’s Education and Science Ministry.
The Ukraine-Turkey educational relationships are strengthening every year with the Turkish language teaching universities being one of the important elements in this cooperation. Therefore, Korsunskiy and Sarach discussed the next issues: providing support to such universities, students exchange programs, scholarships to students and introduction of Ukraine-Turkey double degree programs.
May, 23 Yekta Sarach paid an official visit to Ukraine and held a number of meetings on educational issues. In particular, the Head of Turkey's Council of Higher Education met with the Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science Lilia Grinevich.
