Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people together with Crimean Tatar association of educational workers ‘Maarifchi’ give talented Crimean Tatar students an opportunity to get higher education abroad.
The head of ‘Maarifchi’ association, MP of Crimea Safure Kadzhametova said this at the meeting with future students of Middle East University of Cyprus.
“During the meeting with rector of Middle East University of Cyprus Suat Gunsel in Lefkosha (Cyprus) in 2009, head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev signed an agreement according to which the university of Cyprus invites 4 Crimean student to get education in Cyprus”, - she said.
This year four Crimean students to get education abroad: Sabrie Abdurashitova, Dilyara Samedinova, Erol Abduldzhelilov and Akim Umerov.
According to one of the lucky students Sabrie, the candidates were interviewed in English and Crimean Tatar languages.
The head of ‘Maarifchi’ noted education is expensive.
“It is expensive, but we found the way. It will be financed by Crimean Tatar diaspora in Turkey. Moreover, students will get 200 euros of allowance”, - she said.
