SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - A new course called ‘culture of good neighborliness’ will be introduced in Crimean pre-schools and schools, states draft order approved by the Council of Ministers of Crimea, reports information policy department of the Council of Ministers.
According to the document, a plan of activities aimed at fighting xenophobia and raising the level of tolerance in the society has been approved for 2013-2015.
In particular, it is planned to conduct a poster campaign against xenophobia, art-flash-mobs dedicated to prominent Crimean residents of different ethnicities, photo exhibition ‘Crimean rainbow’ as well as development and dissemination of relevant public service announcements.
In addition, it is planned to carry out awareness-raising and prevention activities among students and their parents, conduct round tables with representatives of public youth organizations.
Draft order also provides for monitoring of online resources to identify and bring to responsibility those who promote racial and religious intolerance online.
