Best teachers of Crimean Tatar language awarded in Crimea

On January 16, final round of the all-Ukrainian contest “Teacher of the year-2014” in the nomination “Crimean Tatar language” took place in Simferopol, in the course of which best elementary school teachers of Crimean Tatar language were identified and awarded. Among the winners were teachers from Evpatoria, Simferopol, Bakchisarayskiy, Belogorskiy and other regions of Crimea. A feature of this year's competition was that it was conducted among elementary school teachers. Chairperson of the jury, Associate Professor of the Crimean Tatar and Turkish literature department of the Crimean Industrial and Pedagogical University Fera Seferova told that the teachers have gone through two qualifying rounds to get to the final round. She also said that teachers of different age and work experience took place in it. The winners were congratulated by head of the Crimean Parliament’s committee on interethnic relations and deported citizens Enver Abduraimov, who presented them money certificates. Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov presented winners the Crimean Tatar flag, a cup with the Crimean Tatar Tamga symbol and several books in Crimean Tatar language, among which was the book by Mustafa Jemilev “The sixth process”. Representatives of the public organization “Maarifchi” presented winners with CD recorders and books in Crimean Tatar.
