Yatsenyuk: gas in Europe is cheaper than in Russia

The average gas price in the European Union is about USD 200, said the Prime Minister.

Yatsenyuk said Ukraine has 2.3 billion cubic meters more gas than the previous year.

- Currently, the Ukrainian gas storage facilities have about 13000000000 cubic meters of gas. This is 2.3 billion more than last year, reported the Ukraine’s Prime Minister as cited on the government website.

Yatsenyuk said that Ukraine has stopped buying gas from the Russian Federation:

- January 1, Russia issued an invoice for gas at 212 dollars per thousand cubic meters. We do not buy gas from Russia as we are buying gas from the European Union at a cheaper price than Russia proposed, said the Prime Minister.
