Yalta Annual Meeting to start in Crimea, Fule to attend

(QHA) - EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule will attend the 10th Yalta Annual Meeting in Crimea, the EU Delegation to Ukraine has told Interfax-Ukraine. According to the report, the commissioner will visit Crimea on September 18-20. The Yalta Annual Meeting, organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, will be held at the Livadia Palace on September 19-22. According to media reports, over 200 leading politicians, businesspeople and public representatives from over 20 countries will discuss major global challenges and their impact on Europe, Ukraine and the world. The Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper reported that members of the European Parliament’s monitoring mission, Pat Cox and Alexander Kwasniewski, would also visit Yalta and most likely use the platform for dialog with the Ukrainian president, as well as with representatives of the government, the parliament, and opposition leaders.
