The largest increase in the July utility costs is recorded in the annexed Crimea.
The utility costs increased by 13% in Sevastopol and by 12.4% in Crimea according to the Rosstat report.
Over the past month the average tariffs for Housing and Communal Services in Russia has grown by 4.1 percent.
“The wastewater tariffs have increased significantly, by 7.4%. Electricity, heating, cold and hot water charges have risen by 4,7-5,8%,” the report says.
Overall, the annual costs of Housing and Communal Services in Russia has increased by 6%.
