KYIV (QHA) -

Embargo on a number of products from the Russian Federation, which the Ukrainian government has introduced in response to the Russian embargo, will come into force on January 10 and remain valid until August 5, 2016, according to the Resolution No.1147 of December 30, 2015, released on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"The Resolution shall come into force on  January 10, 2016, and expire on August 5, 2016, or after the lifting of the ban on goods for agricultural purposes, products and raw materials originated from Ukraine and imported into the customs territory of the Russian Federation," reads the document.

Just a reminder: Since January 2, 2016, the most favored nation treatment has come into force instead of free trade regime, valid before that date. In addition, the ban on a number of Russian goods will take effect starting January 10, 2016.
